Journal 004 — I think I've been passive

Paying attention got me here. But attention without surrender is a very polite kind of unbelief.

I used to think the flag was rebellion. I'm starting to think it might be discernment. Still figuring out the difference.

Openness without discernment is just a door that doesn't close. And in the spiritual sense, that's not faith.

I used to think prayer was the first thing I did in the morning. It isn't. Hasn't been for a long time.
